tow Burcu gets married

My bff Burcu got married. I am just amazed that we are both married now. We used to talk about when we would get married the nights I slept over at her house. She wanted a Muslim black man with dimples, he had to have dimples aaand look what she got!

I get teary eyed looking at these photos. I couldn’t be there for her big day. They are soo right for each other. They waited a long time for this to happen! So happy for them. I wish Allah to grant them a lifetime of happiness!!
Of course it helped that she wrote her name under my shoe when I got married last summer. See I told you it works!
Preperations (17)
I have more to write about Bendigo sheep and wool festival and my new yarn acquistions but I am a bit emotional at the moment to write anything else….

tow mojo

Reason number infinity I love my husband, he appreciates cute! He never fails the smile when I show him something adorable on cuteoverload and he patiently looks at all the cute patterns I show him. I recently made him an elephant. I wanted to practice knitting in the round using the magic loop method and I didn’t want to knit random circles. I found this adorable elephant pattern from Susan B. Anderson’s website. It’s called “Elefante” You can download your own copy here(it’s a pdf link).
Irfan the Elefante
ACA named the elephant “Irfan”, meaning wise.

Irfan the Elefante
He does look a bit sad, but he’s just lost in deep thought.

And Mojo the Octopus is the new friend of Irfan.
Mojo the Octopus
I made the octopus with the intention of using it as cat toy. But after embroidering the face on him, ACA decided he wanted to keep it. The addition of dreadlocks was also his idea!

I finished the socks I was working on for my father in law.
FIL Sock
The feet in the photo are mine (it’s soo hard to photograph your own feet!), the socks fit my father in law’s feet perfectly. I gave it to him yesterday and he immediately started wearing them. I love to people using things I made for them!
I started working on a pair of monkey socks for myself.
Monkey
I can’t be the only sock knitter on the face of the earth without a pair of monkeys! I am again doing these toe up two at a time. I am going to be trying using Fleegle’s Heel for this project.
When I went to Craftee Cottage the nice lady there gave me a cloth bag to put my yarn in. Hermoine liked the bag more than I did!

Maybe she could smell the yarn in it!
I am off to put the dishes away and hang the laundry. Will the house work never end?
